The ghosts of Hex
At Halloween, Gavin Cromwell and I visited one of our favorite Salem stores, Hex. It’s a unique shop. Hex brings a taste of New Orleans to “Witch City.”
While we were at Hex, Gavin and I explored the basement underneath the store.
The basement can only be accessed through a trap door (and steep stairs) behind the main sales counter in the store.
We weren’t sure if the site is actively haunted. Gavin sensed people stretched out as if resting. I detected the energy of a small, frightened family cowering in a back corner of the basement.
This location is worth additional visits to see if the energy changes, and I’ll research that address to find out if there’s a reason for either bodies in the basement or people hiding there.
But, that store is a favorite stop when we’re in Salem, anyway.
Hex is located at 246 Essex Street, Salem, Massachusetts, almost across the street from the “Bewitched” statue of Samantha.
